Neon Caron art is a reflection of his inner child
Neon Caron is a Mexican artist, otherwise known as Jaime Shelley, born in Mexico City in 1984. After a successful career as an entrepreneur, he went on to study digital media and began his journey towards becoming a self-taught artist in 2011.
Experimenting with painting and urban art forms such as graffiti and stencilling, he quickly moved on to interactive digital artwork which quickly earned him industry renown.
However, he takes elements of nostalgia with him in the form of cartoon characters. Kitsch characters such as Mickey Mouse and Felix the Cat bring a childlike quality to his work, and link the new technology of augmented reality with recognised and much-loved imagery.
